About Mina

Mina is believed to be a mix of German Shepherd Dog and Belgian Malinois, and she is the perfect blend of brains, heart, and spirit. At just 2 years old and just under 50 pounds, she’s petite for her breed mix but overflowing with a vibrant personality. Mina has been charming us since she was just 4 months old. As anyone familiar with strong working breeds knows, finding the right home isn’t always easy — but Mina truly represents the very best of her lineage. True to her breed, Mina is exceptionally intelligent, eager to learn, and deeply motivated to please. Training is fun for her — she thrives on treats, toys, praise, and engagement. She is active and outgoing without being overly hyper, and she balances her playful energy with calm, affectionate moments. We have prioritised socialisation from the very beginning to ensure Mina grows into a confident, well-rounded companion. Through daily exposure to new environments, people, and animals, she has developed strong social skills and has avoided the anxiety or stranger-danger behaviors often seen in shepherd breeds. She has been raised harmoniously with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, cats, rabbits, farm animals, birds and turtles. She truly loves every dog, cat, child, and human she meets. Mina presents as a sweet “beta” personality in her social circle. She enjoys being part of a pack and is happy to follow strong, consistent leadership. She thrives in a balanced, active, and playful home with knowledgeable humans who understand working breeds and are committed to ongoing training. She is wonderful with children of all ages and engages warmly with both men and women. Her friendly, social-butterfly nature makes her a joy to bring anywhere. Mina has a zest for life and enjoys daily walks, playgroups, outdoor adventures, swimming and splashing, exploring nature trails, running alongside a bicycle, car rides, training sessions, and cozy movie nights as your cuddle buddy. She walks well on leash but can show some excitement or slight uncertainty in unfamiliar environments. Continued training and guidance will help her maintain her confidence and composure. Mina is completely house-trained and crate-trained and excels in off-leash recall.

Ideal Home

As a working-breed mix, Mina will do best with an active household, consistent structure and leadership, ongoing mental and physical stimulation, and continued socialisation and training.

Ongoing Health

All adoptions include spay/neuter procedure, rabies vaccination (offered with 1 or 3-year options), comprehensive core vaccinations, including Leptospirosis and Coronavirus (available for 1 or 3 years), negative heartworm test, monthly prevention for heartworm, fleas, and ticks, negative Lyme disease test, deworming and negative fecal test, completion of all necessary testing within the last 6-12 months, and all age-appropriate medical needs addressed (blood work, dental check-ups, testing, and medications).

Training & Support

Training is an ongoing journey that requires daily attention; new challenges and opportunities for learning arise routinely and should be embraced. Continued training is vital to setting Mina up for lifelong success. She walks well on leash but can show some excitement or slight uncertainty in unfamiliar environments. Continued training and guidance will help her maintain her confidence and composure.
