Coco is a darling, 8-year-old spayed female who is looking for her forever home or a foster to provide her with a safe and loving environment. She is a true wiggle butt who adores her toys and loves her walks, showing great promise on leash with no reactivity. Coco is food-motivated and has proven to be incredibly sweet with her people, especially once she feels comfortable and safe.
Her journey to us has been one of overcoming challenges. She came from a situation where her care was inconsistent, leading to some initial stress and health concerns. However, with dedicated foster care and a visit to a Fear Free certified veterinary practice, Coco has blossomed. Her ear issues have been treated, her nails are trimmed, and her health is now excellent. She's a healthy 80 pounds and eager to continue building her strength with more exercise.
Coco is house-trained and has shown no resource guarding around food or toys. She enjoys puzzle toys and is friendly towards people and other dogs she's met through the fence. She also travels well in the car. While we don't know her history with small children, she should do well with older, respectful kids (10+) and hasn't lived with cats, so her compatibility with felines is unknown.
Ideal Home
Coco would thrive in a committed home, preferably with someone who has experience with her breed. She might be able to live with a male dog of similar size and energy level.
Ongoing Health
Coco's ear issues have been resolved and her lab work came back clear. She is in good physical health.
Training & Support
Coco is generally well-behaved, house-trained, and good on leash. She is food-motivated and takes treats gently. She loves toys and enjoys puzzle feeders. She is less sensitive to touch now that her ears are no longer painful.
