Meet Pluto! This energetic and affectionate Chihuahua/Terrier mix is about 9 weeks old and currently weighs 3 pounds, though he'll continue to grow. Pluto and his littermates were found abandoned in Houston and brought to safety. He's a brave and curious little guy who loves to play with his toys but also melts into a snuggly cuddle bug once you pick him up. Pluto is ready for his next adventure and promises a lifetime of kisses and adorable mischief!
Ideal Home
Pluto would do well in a home with children, cats, and other dogs, provided introductions are done appropriately. It's important that any resident pets are gentle and experienced with very small dogs, and all interactions are supervised due to Pluto's tiny size. Because he is still a young puppy, Pluto cannot be left alone for long periods. We are seeking a home where someone is typically home more often than not to help with his socialization, training, and care. If you work outside the home for more than 4 hours at a time, we cannot consider your application unless there is another adult in the household available to care for him during the day.
Ongoing Health
As Pluto is a young puppy, his breed mix and adult size are unknown. Adopters should be prepared for some mystery and lots of puppy surprises!
Training & Support
Pluto is still working on potty training and crate training. His new family should be prepared to continue consistent training, provide frequent potty breaks, and offer positive reinforcement and patience as he learns. Puppies thrive with structure, routine, and supervision, and Pluto is no exception.

Transporation
Pluto is currently in a foster home in Austin, Texas. He can be transported once he is matched to an adopter. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
