Hazel

Hazel is a 10-month-old sweetheart with beautiful brown eyes, who has unfortunately been overlooked. She arrived at our sanctuary in November 2025 with her siblings, who were adopted quickly, but Hazel remained, waiting for her turn. She is incredibly gentle and loves to be by your side, always your shadow. Hazel is also a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. She's currently in a temporary foster home near the Texas/Mexico border, eagerly awaiting her forever family.

Ideal Home

Hazel would thrive in a home that loves water as much as she does! Whether it's hiking, trips to the ocean, or just playing in a bucket, Hazel is your girl. She's also great with kids and doesn't mind kitties.

Ongoing Health

Hazel is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has also been dewormed and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian before transport.

Training & Support

Hazel is house and crate trained.

Transporation

Hazel is currently located in Texas. We do not adopt animals within Texas due to high euthanasia rates. We only adopt to the Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee of $495 includes transport from Texas to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, New Haven and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA.
