Big Mama

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who enjoys going on walks and meeting new people! She was found weighing over 70lbs but is now at a healthy weight of around 60lbs. Big Mama was found alone in the middle of a road and was rescued by a kind couple. Unfortunately, their resident dog was not good with other dogs, and they had to take Big Mama to a local shelter where she was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, with the help of dedicated individuals, she was brought to safety! She is incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle. Big Mama can be unaware of her size, especially when she's zooming around the yard, so keep an eye out! She loves to lounge indoors but is ready for playtime once she's outside.

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she can be more assertive with other female dogs. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she doesn't require a canine companion to be happy. Due to her energy level and unawareness of her size, a home without young children would be ideal.
