This spirited seven-and-a-half-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix, weighing 38 pounds, is a vibrant burst of determination wrapped in a striking merle coat. He navigates the world on three legs with impressive speed and agility, a testament to his incredible heart. Banks is a champion at fetch, eagerly anticipating each throw and returning with bright, happy eyes. He thrives on an active lifestyle, making his required one to two hours of vigorous daily exercise a pure joy.

Ideal Home

Banks needs a home with significant outdoor space. He would do best in a home without young children and requires experienced caregivers who can provide calm leadership and understand the needs of high-drive, intelligent breeds. An environment that can match his energy and commitment to training, such as in agility, working, or farm settings, would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Banks is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is missing a rear leg due to a past accident but it does not hinder his active lifestyle.

Training & Support

Banks is brilliantly trained and responds to a wide range of commands including sit, down, stay, heel, place, come, fetch, leave it, crate, and "good night." He is smart, food motivated, and eager to please. While generally friendly with other dogs and welcoming towards adults, he would benefit from guidance with his resource guarding tendencies around food. He can also be uneasy with loud noises like vacuums, so calm leadership is beneficial.
