Rover

Rover is a charming Rottie/Doxy mix who came to us after his stray hold expired. He's a handsome boy with the distinctive markings of a Rottie and the short, long build of a Dachshund. Rover is estimated to be around 5 years old and seems to have a good idea of the canine companions he'd prefer to share his life with. He's most comfortable with dogs his size or smaller, who are laid-back and not overly boisterous. While he generally gets along with compatible dogs, it's worth noting that he has shown grumpiness a few times, so careful introductions and ongoing supervision are key if you have another dog.

When it comes to people, Rover is a true sweetheart! He seems to love everyone he meets, including men, women, and children. All of his human interactions have been incredibly positive, and he absolutely melts for a good belly rub.

Ideal Home

Rover would do best in a home with other dogs that are his size or smaller, laid-back, and not in his face. He enjoys gentle interactions and can get grumpy with dogs that are too forward.
