Merle Dawson is a stunning 5-year-old pittie mix with a captivating merle coat and striking heterochromia, featuring one icy blue eye and one caramel brown. He's a bundle of joyful energy, convinced that everyone he meets is his new best friend. Merle's personality is as bright as his appearance; he's devoted, goofy, and utterly lovable. He thrives on human connection, leaning in for affection and soaking up every bit of attention. Merle has a proven history of enjoying the company of children, even those as young as 5, and he approaches life with a happy, easygoing attitude. He loves to be involved in daily activities, whether it's playing or simply being near his people. Merle is also dog-friendly and tends to do best with calm, easygoing female dogs. However, his happiest and most relaxed self truly shines when he is the sole canine companion, as people are his top priority. He enjoys engaging with puzzle toys and lick mats but most of all, he just wants to be by your side. Merle is treat-motivated, eager to please, and walks well on a leash, with only occasional pulling due to excitement. He is currently working on basic commands like "sit," and his eagerness to learn makes further training a joyful bonding experience.

Ideal Home

Merle would thrive in a semi-active home where he can be an integral part of the daily rhythm, from errands to relaxing at home. He would do best in a home with a large fenced-in backyard rather than an apartment, providing him space to stretch his legs and play. Ideally, Merle would be the only dog in the home, allowing him to be the center of his owner's world.

For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
