About Yogi Bear

Yogi is a 5-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix, weighing around 63 pounds. She has a beautiful, soft chestnut coat and a sweet, slightly wrinkled face that always seems to be smiling. Yogi has a wonderfully calm and grounded presence, and she forms deep bonds with her people. She's the kind of devoted companion who simply wants to be near you, offering quiet company. Yogi is friendly and loving, though she might take a few moments to warm up to new acquaintances. Once she feels comfortable, she's affectionate, fun, and incredibly easygoing. She’s the type of dog who settles in quickly and becomes a seamless part of your routine.

Ideal Home

Yogi would do well in a house or apartment, as long as she gets regular exercise. She would thrive in a home with older, respectful children, and with someone who appreciates a dog that bonds deeply and wants to be a true part of your world.

Ongoing Health

Yogi is currently heartworm positive and has begun treatment. She will require a committed adopter who can continue her care. Otherwise, she is a healthy and wonderful dog ready for her next chapter.

Training & Support

Yogi is fully potty trained and crate trained, settling easily in her crate. She walks well on a leash, needing only occasional reminders. She is low-maintenance and adaptable. With other dogs, Yogi can be a bit selective. She does best with calmer, easygoing dogs and prefers more one-on-one interactions over busy group settings. She has also been exposed to cats and has done well with them.
