Drew

Drew is a sweet girl who was cruelly tied to a gate and left alone, which understandably left her terrified. She was so frightened that she wouldn’t let anyone near her. Thankfully, Orange County Animal Control was able to safely bring her to their facility. For the week she was there, Drew remained shut down, too scared to take treats or respond to affection. Because of her fear and withdrawn behavior, she was deemed “unadoptable” and scheduled for euthanasia.

But her story didn't end there! We brought Drew into our care to give her the chance she deserved. She quickly showed us her true colors: a calm and sweet dog who just needed to feel safe. With a little time and patience, Drew has the potential to blossom into a devoted and gentle companion. She’s looking for her forever home to show her just how wonderful life can be!

Ideal Home

Drew prefers a calm, stable environment. She doesn't get along with other dogs and may react to aggressive behavior, though she pays no mind to dogs who leave her alone. Because of this, Drew would thrive best in an adult-only home without other pets. For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances.

Ongoing Health

Drew's adoption donation includes her spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip.

Training & Support

Drew has made great progress in feeling safe, but she will need continued patience and love to build trust.
