Meet Poppy, a little pup with a big personality who's growing more confident (and more adorable, if that's even possible!) every single day! She's still mastering the art of running, which currently involves plenty of slipping, sliding, and baby deer-style zoomies, but that's all part of her irresistible puppy charm. Like any young puppy, Poppy is looking for a family that's ready to embrace everything puppyhood has to offer: patience, positive reinforcement training, continued socialization, and lots of love as she learns about the world. She would thrive in a home with a playful resident dog who can continue showing her the ropes, or with adopters who have a thoughtful plan to help her grow into a happy, confident, well-rounded adult. When it's time to recharge, Poppy can usually be found snuggled up with her beloved Lamb Chop toy, which is currently nearly half her size! Between naps, she's all about playtime, especially a good game of tug, and she's happy to tag along on adventures, even if they're currently enjoyed from the comfort of her carrier alongside her foster sister while she catches up on all of her vaccines. Poppy arrived at PAWS after being found as a stray with her five siblings, so we don't know exactly how big she'll be when she's all grown up. And while she's tiny now, she's growing every day, and we expect she'll mature into a larger dog. Poppy is endlessly curious and excited to greet both people and other animals, approaching every new friend with a wag and an open heart. Her foster says she has the sweetest personality; if her people are spending time together, she wants to be right in the middle of the fun! And her playful, engaging nature has even helped bring out the playful side of her six-year-old foster sister too. If you're ready for puppy kisses, laughter, training adventures, and watching a sweet little pup blossom into an amazing lifelong companion, Poppy is ready to meet you! We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.
