Meet Chunky Monkey, our handsome little heart-stealer with soulful eyes, a rich sable coat, and an easygoing personality that's impossible not to love. While he's always ready to join in the fun with his brothers and sisters, Chunky has a wonderfully calm, independent side. At the end of the day, he's often the first puppy to let us know it's bedtime. He happily settles into his crate for the night and is content drifting off to sleep on his own—a remarkable trait for such a young puppy. Like all of his siblings, Chunky loves people. After a fun play session, he's perfectly content curling up in a warm lap and drifting off to sleep in your arms. Chunky and his littermates are affectionately known as "Arkansas Adventure Dogs," with perhaps just a splash of "Winnebeagle." Their mama, Cherry Garcia ("Kaya"), weighs just 26 pounds and has been an exceptional mother. She not only lovingly cared for her puppies but also taught them good manners and consistently reinforced positive potty habits from an early age. Raised in a foster home, Chunky is growing up surrounded by everyday household sights and sounds. He and his siblings are comfortable resting in a crate and are already using feline pine pellet litter boxes with remarkably positive results. They've been introduced to children, cats, and other dogs and have been wonderfully social with everyone they've met. Although they enjoy playing together, these puppies have also developed into confident, independent little dogs. Based on what we've observed in foster care, Chunky appears equally comfortable entertaining himself, soaking up one-on-one attention, or sharing his home with a canine brother or sister. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a playful spirit, an old soul, and a knack for knowing when it's time to wind down, Chunky Monkey may be your perfect match.
