Lucy

Meet Lucy, a sweet and affectionate beagle mix who is about 4 to 6 years old and weighs around 33 lbs. Lucy was a senior dog in a home with many other animals and was often overlooked. Thankfully, a kind foster mom stepped in, and Lucy's owners agreed to surrender her to us. Since arriving in foster care, Lucy has blossomed into a joyful and adaptable companion. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, has lived harmoniously with cats, and is even great with toddlers. Lucy is confident, friendly, and always eager to make new friends!

Lucy has excellent house manners; she is house-trained, lets you know when she needs to go out, and sleeps soundly through the night. She's comfortable in a crate but prefers to snuggle on a dog bed or with her favorite people. Lucy enjoys her walks and exploring the yard. While she's carrying a little extra weight, it doesn't stop her from enjoying her meals and then indulging in a happy post-dinner zoomie before a good nap. More than anything, Lucy craves love and affection, enjoying belly rubs and back scratches.

Ideal Home

Lucy would thrive in almost any loving home. She'd enjoy having another dog for company, but she's also confident enough to be the only dog. Her ideal family will be committed to regular walks and helping her achieve a healthier weight, aiming for a loss of about 7-8 pounds to ensure she stays active and comfortable.

Ongoing Health

Lucy is up-to-date on her shots, has been spayed, and is microchipped. She is currently a little overweight and would benefit from a weight management plan to improve her comfort and activity levels.

Training & Support

Lucy has excellent house manners and is a pleasure to have around. She is already house-trained and walks well on a leash.
