Ajax

Ajax is a handsome Kelpie mix, estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing about 35 pounds. He had a tough start in life, found abandoned as a pup, but thankfully rescued and cared for. Due to a bout with oral papilloma, he had to be isolated for nearly four months, which meant he missed out on crucial early socialization. Despite this, Ajax is a sweet boy with a lot of love to give. He's intelligent and learns quickly, though he can be a bit of a bull in a china shop until he settles in. He thrives when he has a job to do, and a Kong toy helps him manage his drives. Ajax is looking for a person who understands the needs of a working breed like a Kelpie.

Ideal Home

Ajax needs an active home where he can have a job or plenty of exercise. A runner, hiker, or someone involved in herding would be a great fit. He absolutely cannot live with cats.

Ongoing Health

Ajax recovered from oral papilloma virus, which required a period of isolation. He is otherwise healthy.

Training & Support

Ajax is still working on his leash manners and can be a bit rambunctious indoors. He is very smart and eager to please, so consistent training and clear guidance will help him succeed. Providing him with regular exercise and a "job" will be key to his happiness and well-being.

Transporation
