Knoll was found wandering the streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and brought to the Queens Animal Care and Control. It was a scary time for her, being just one of many animals in the shelter. Thankfully, a kind person stepped in and saved her life, bringing her into foster care where she has truly blossomed! Now, this delightful girl is ready to find her forever home.
Knoll is an approximately 3-year-old, 53-pound mixed breed with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. She's affectionate, silly, smart, and incredibly loyal. She's already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
Ideal Home
Knoll would thrive in a home filled with love, patience, and kindness. She's a "velcro dog" and wants to be with her family as much as possible, so a home where she can be included in everyday life is ideal. She needs a family that will provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. While she's generally good with strangers when approached calmly, she can be a bit fearful of things above her head, like hands reaching down to pet her, ceiling fans, or large moving objects.
Ongoing Health
Knoll is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Knoll is housetrained and crate trained for overnight sleeping. She is working on extending her daytime crate time. She shows mild separation anxiety when left alone in her crate, initially whining but eventually settling. Providing an enrichment toy can help her stay occupied for the first 30-45 minutes. She's good on leash with some initial zig-zagging and pulling, but she's improving. She's not bothered by city noises, vacuums, or commotion and is not overly barky.
