Snickerdoodle

Hi there! I'm Snickerdoodle, a 4-month-old bundle of energy and smarts with gorgeous gray eyes! My foster parents say I'm not for the faint of heart – I've got a brain like a border collie in a pitbull body! I'm a quick learner and already know six commands reliably. I'm kennel-trained, sleep through the night, and am about 90% potty trained. I love to be with my people and make my foster parents laugh every day with my antics. I'm fearless and love to explore everything!

Ideal Home

A home with an adopter who has a "steel" will and is ready for daily training, exercise, and mental stimulation. I'd do best with an experienced adopter who can keep up with my high energy and need for engagement. While I love meeting new people, I can get super excited, so a home without young children might be best until I learn how to play appropriately with humans. I am also perfectly happy without other dogs, but if I were to live with one, they would need to be an easy-going canine companion.

Training & Support

I need consistent, daily training and mental stimulation to prevent boredom. If I don't get enough, I might start chasing my tail, which is a sign of mental frustration. I'm working on "leave it," taking treats nicely, and "swing finish." I also need continued socialization with dogs, especially in my first year, to maintain good behavior.
