Toaster

Toaster is a 2.5-year-old dog with a zest for life and a unique, wobbly gait due to a past spinal injury. Despite his unconventional movement, he's gained strength and even navigates short staircases with enthusiasm! Toaster's personality is effervescent and playful, though he's learning to temper his exuberance, particularly when interacting with humans. He enjoys holding forearms gently in his mouth and is working on understanding personal space. He came into our program heartworm negative and with no other medical concerns, simply a unique way of moving. While he has had some startling interactions with other dogs due to his movements, he seems to crave canine companionship. We recommend older children as companions for Toaster, as his wobbly nature could pose a risk to very young children.

Toaster has a street-healed spinal break, which affects his gait. He is heartworm negative and has no other known medical concerns.

Training & Support

Toaster is doing well with keeping his kennel clean, indicating he will likely learn housetraining quickly. He is surprisingly mellow on a leash. He is learning to moderate his enthusiastic play style, especially when interacting with people.
