Nora is a spirited 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at 32 pounds of pure joy! With her beautiful caramel coat and an enthusiasm for life that's simply infectious, Nora is ready to be your adventure buddy. She absolutely adores children, other dogs, and humans of all kinds, making her a wonderfully social addition to any family. Nora thrives on activity – she loves to run, play, and explore, so a family that enjoys the great outdoors and can provide plenty of playtime and attention will make her happiest.
Nora's early life was challenging. She and her sisters were found as tiny puppies in Houston, struggling to survive on the streets. Tragically, two of her sisters were lost before they could be rescued. Nora and her surviving sister were saved just in time, escaping a grim fate. Despite her difficult beginnings, Nora has blossomed into a loving, playful, and affectionate dog who is eager to leave her past behind and embrace a secure and joyful future with her forever family.
Ideal Home
Nora would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she can safely run and play. An active family that enjoys outdoor activities and can provide her with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation is ideal. A home with experience in dog behavior and training, along with a high level of patience and understanding for rescued animals, would be a perfect fit.
Ongoing Health
Nora has received a spay/neuter surgery, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and a heartworm test. She comes with a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Nora is not yet house-trained. Our foster team is dedicated to rehabilitating our rescued pets, but with so many animals needing care, it's challenging to house-train each one. A patient adopter with experience in dog behavior and training will be essential for her continued development.
