Rex is a handsome shepherd mix, likely around six years old, who was rescued from the streets of Houston. He was found lying in the heat, appearing to wait for someone. Though it's suspected he was abandoned, he still holds onto memories of his past and misses his previous owners deeply. Despite his confusion and longing, Rex possesses a strong personality and can be dominant, but he avoids conflict. He's learning to trust again and will subtly lean in for pets when he feels comfortable. However, he's still grieving and may warn with a growl if he feels uneasy. Rex responds to kindness and is looking for a patient and experienced adopter who understands his journey.
