Forever home found!

Hi, my name is Daisy, and I am a 7-year-old, 20.5-pound sweetheart with soft black and white fur. My previous family couldn't take me with them when they moved, so I'm looking for a new place to call home. I love to be snuggled and petted, and I'm very motivated by treats, which makes training a breeze! I get along well with the two male dogs in my foster home. I enjoy having the freedom to go in and out of the house, but I do need supervision because I tend to bark at things that seem strange to me. My foster mom thinks I'm potty trained and I'm learning to use a dog door, as I haven't had any accidents inside.

Ideal Home

I need a calm house to help me adjust to my new surroundings. New people can be a little scary for me at first, but I warm up quickly and love to give and receive affection. I would do best with a family that is home a lot and I think I would be happiest with older children. I don't mind sleeping in a kennel at night, but I might also enjoy cozying up in my owner's bed! I'm not a good fit for apartment living.

Ongoing Health

Daisy has no known special needs or health issues. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.

Training & Support

I'm working on leash training and riding well in the car. I'm shy with strangers initially and will bark at them, but I warm up with pets and love after a short time.

I am currently being fostered in Dacono, Colorado. We only adopt to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR. Transport may be available within these states.
