Jager

Jager is a sweet boy who needs a nice home to give him a shot! He came to us as a young dog, likely barely a year old, tied up near the shelter. Over a year later, he still has not had a foster break or much adoption interest. Jager is being as patient as we could ever expect, but he is always excited for the day that someone will come and take him home! He is one of the most affectionate dogs in the world and will do anything for some love and praise (and treats!) With every new person he meets, all he ever wants are some head scratches, a fun game of tug, and a nice long walk. Jager weighs 50 lbs.

Ideal Home

Jager needs to be the only dog in the home as he does not get along with other dogs. His sociability with cats is unknown, but he does not do well with them and will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats. His sociability with children is also unknown as he has never met them while in our care.

Ongoing Health

Jager is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Jager is working on house training and is doing well on a schedule but will have occasional accidents in the home. He is also working on leash behavior and may require continued positive reinforcement training. His crate-training is unknown as he has never been crated while in our care.
