Miles

Miles is a smart and loyal companion who came to us as an owner surrender at just 5 months old. He's grown up with us and is ready to find his forever family! Miles loves to roll around in the grass on sunny days and is just as happy curling up on the couch with his favorite people. He's the type of dog who wants to be wherever you are! He's currently living with a foster and has adjusted wonderfully to a home with four other dogs of various sizes and ages. He was also introduced to a resident cat and showed no issues, seeming uninterested. Miles is house-trained and crate-trained, and walks beautifully on leash. His recall is also excellent, even off-leash! Miles was born in November 2023, making him just over 2 years old and weighing around 45 pounds. He's a handsome mix, with a father who was a full-blooded Texas Healer.

Ideal Home

Miles would do best in a home without small children. He thrives in a quieter environment with fewer new visitors, as he takes time to warm up to new people and can be protective of his loved ones. He needs plenty of safe space to run, so a fenced yard is ideal; he is not suited for apartment living.

Miles is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Miles is house-trained, crate-trained, and has excellent leash manners and recall. He can be a bit shy and protective of his people when meeting new individuals, so continued patience and positive reinforcement will help him feel secure.
