Hi! I'm Rhoda. I'm a shy dog, but with a little patience and advocacy, I promise to blossom into the best version of myself. I'm about a year old and weigh around 40 lbs. My foster mom thinks I may not have had much socialization before coming to live with her, as the shelter was a terrifying experience that really set me back. Thankfully, some wonderful people saw my potential and rescued me! I do well with other dogs and actually quite enjoy people, especially my foster mom who understands the importance of a slow and gentle approach. I love to follow her around the yard and give her legs little secret kisses, which she finds very endearing.
Ideal Home
My ideal home would be with an adult or adults who can give me the space and quiet I need to build my confidence. Loud noises and high energy from children can be a bit overwhelming for me. I'd be happy to share my home with a cat, but a calm and balanced doggie friend would be a huge asset in helping me learn and grow.
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns have been noted.
Training & Support
I'm still learning to trust and feel comfortable in new situations. A patient and understanding approach will be key to my success. I walk nicely on a leash, especially when I have a canine companion!
