Hi, I'm Ned! I'm a handsome pup with a beautiful coat that looks black but shines a rich brown in the sun, and I've got adorable white markings on my toes. My face might look a little grumpy, but with my distinguished white chin hairs, I'm told I resemble a distinguished gentleman with a goatee! I arrived here from New Mexico with my siblings, Dusty and Lucky Day, and we're known as "The Three Amigos!" I'm a pro at being potty trained, though occasionally I might have an accident, so just keep an eye on my cues! I'm also a natural at traveling, having already conquered a six-hour car ride – a true accomplishment!
Ideal Home
I absolutely love to snuggle and need to sleep in bed with my people every night. I'm also a big fan of being on the sofa! I need another dog in the home to provide companionship, comfort, and play. I'm not suited to be an only dog, as I rely on my canine friends for support. I enjoy playing with dogs of all sizes and love to wrestle, playfully showing off my "mean teeth" which my foster mom affectionately calls "Jaws"! I also get along well with kids and have a 10-year-old human foster sister who adores me. I'm friendly with children and even their friends, though I might bark and jump a little initially. I haven't met a cat, but I'd likely try to say hello!
Ongoing Health
I eat my meals from a Snuffle Mat to help me slow down, as I tend to dig for every kibble and drink my water quickly. My foster mom rations my water to manage this. I'm not a big fan of the cold weather, but I do enjoy looking dapper in cute coats, so I'm happy to be dressed up!
Training & Support
I know "sit," "off," and "come," and I'm working on "down," "stay," and "wait." I think training classes would be a fantastic way for us to bond! I love to chase anything that rolls, play tug-of-war with unstuffed toys, and hunt for treats. I was a bit naughty when I first arrived, but I'm learning quickly and figuring out how to be a great boy. I still tend to explore high surfaces, but I'm being consistently redirected and am starting to understand "off." I promise to keep working on being "Nifty Ned" rather than "Naughty Ned"!
