About Janice

Janice is a sweet and spirited 2-year-old, 45lb Labrador mix who’s ready to find her forever home. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and up to date on preventatives. Rescued from the euthanasia list at an overcrowded Houston shelter, Janice has embraced her second chance with a happy, loving personality. She’s both crate trained and potty trained, sleeping soundly in her crate at night and settling well when left alone for up to six hours. Janice has learned what belongs to her and now happily sticks to her chew toys and plushies, especially when it’s time for a game of fetch. Janice is playful and full of energy, always up for a game of tag, wrestling, or keep away. She gets along great with other dogs and has shown friendly, wagging interactions with pups of all sizes. She loves people and hasn’t met anyone she doesn’t like! Janice can be a bit jumpy when greeting new friends, but it’s all part of her enthusiastic charm and something she’s continuing to work on. She’s been around a young child and did well, though older, dog-savvy kids would likely be the best fit.

Ideal Home

Janice would thrive in an active home that can provide daily walks, playtime, and lots of love. A yard or a playful dog buddy would be a bonus, but she’d also be happy as the center of attention.

Ongoing Health

Janice is spayed, fully vaccinated, and up to date on preventatives.

Training & Support

Janice is crate trained and potty trained. She is also learning to only chew her own toys. On leash, she may pull a little out of excitement, but she’s not very strong and is already improving with guidance. She can be a bit jumpy when greeting new friends, but it’s something she’s continuing to work on.
