Meet Top Knot-ch Kennel. Top Knot-ch Kennels began breeding in early-2008. We are located in Upstate New York and actively breed AKC purebred Standard Poodles & Lhasa Apso puppies. Specifically, our Standard Poodles are bred for temperament with roles of service, therapy, and/or support in mind; but also make amazing companions to many loving families! Our Lhasa Apso's puppies are known to be confident, smart, and complex! As per the breed standard, they are protectors and bark moderately to warn of threats. Many of our Lhasa’s carry the "kink" tail found in original Lhasa lines from Tibet. AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. Our Standard Poodles are raised in our home, as are their puppies of course. Many of our Standard Poodle parents are AKC titled Canine Good Citizen's (CGC), Therapy Dog Certified and/or Service Dog Certified. Our dogs serve an active role in our community; attending events, visiting local schools, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. All breeding dogs have been screened genetically for the following diseases: Degenerative Myelopathy, Neonatal Encephalopathy (seizures), Progressive Retinal Atrophy/Progressive Rod-cone Degeneration, and Willebrand Disease - Type I. Parents are also OFA certified for Hip Dysplasia, Elbow Dysplasia, Congenital Cardiac Disease, and Inherited Eye Disease with excellent results. Based on the parents personalities, these puppies will be eager to please, enthusiastic walkers, runners, and swimmers and also extremely smart! In some cases, FULL registration may be considered to approved breeders. Puppies begin neurological stimulation starting from 5 days of age, followed by "Puppy Culture" training, early grooming routines, and puppies will be started on crate/house training and basic training and manners. These puppies are raised with love and LOTS of attention in our home. They are introduced to cats; thanks to our Siamese; also, great with children as we have a little one too. Puppies will come with a LIFETIME health guarantee against life-threatening genetic faults as proof of our commitment. All puppies can be shipped for a flat rate (some exclusions apply), by breeder. This fee includes the actual airfreight charges (if applicable), crate, health certificate, and travel expenses incurred in the shipping process. Puppy purchase price and the shipping fee MUST be paid in full prior to the scheduled shipping date. We reserve the right to not ship after a certain age, size, or due to poor weather conditions. A small non-refundable deposit will “reserve” your puppy in anticipation of upcoming litters, full deposit will be due once litter is born. Reservations lists are quite regular and will typically fulfill our litters prior to birth; reserve yours early!
