Payton

Payton is a sweet senior pit bull mix, weighing around 50 pounds. She was found abandoned at Lake Ouchita State Park after having puppies. Though she was initially found to be heartworm positive and underweight, she's now healthy and ready for her forever home. Payton is a true inside dog who enjoys her own company, though she gets along well with other dogs. She adores people and would be happiest in a home where she can be your constant companion.

Ideal Home

Payton would prefer an inside-only home. She has shown reactivity with children under 10 years old, so a home without young children would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Payton was treated for heartworm and is now healthy. All HSGC pets come with their medical file showing they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and are current on heartworm/flea and tick prevention.

Training & Support

Payton is house-trained. She is described as being perfectly satisfied and keeping to herself when she has a dog bed or a bone.
