This striking five-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier, German Shepherd, and Labrador Retriever mix is a true gem. Augusta is a smart, devoted, and energetic 62-pound companion who is ready to find her forever best friend. Her beautiful tricolor coat and expressive brown eyes are just the beginning of her charm; she boasts a happy, boundless personality that's sure to win you over!
Augusta is a training graduate who already knows several commands and walks nicely on a leash. She's also crate-trained and happily settles in for the night. She thrives on consistency and loves to focus on her person, making her an ideal partner for someone who enjoys continuing to guide her with basic commands. Her intelligence shines through, especially when treats are involved – she picks up new cues quickly!
When Augusta was first found, she was a bit unsure of the world and sometimes acted defensively. In one instance, she nipped a neighbor on the ankle when she felt uncertain. However, with time, structure, and trust, she has transformed beautifully. She now responds wonderfully to guidance and routine.

Augusta would do best with an attentive guardian who understands her sensitive nature and can provide ongoing structure and positive reinforcement. She thrives with an active lifestyle and would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment.
