About Graham
Meet Graham! He's a handsome 4-year-old pittie mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever home. Found as a stray, Graham’s past may be unknown, but over the past year, he’s shown us exactly who he is: silly, goofy, playful, intelligent, and so full of love. Graham truly shines when he’s out of the shelter environment. He’s a regular on outings and sleepovers with volunteers, and he does amazing! He sleeps soundly through the night, has no accidents in the home, and settles in like he’s been there forever. It’s clear that home life is where Graham feels most comfortable. Shelter life, however, has been tough on him. New people can be a little scary at first, but with a bit of patience and understanding, Graham warms up, and when he does, he is incredibly affectionate. At around 60 pounds, he may be a big boy, but in his mind, he’s a lap dog! He loves nothing more than being close to his person, soaking up attention and handing out kisses. Once cuddle time is over, Graham is ready to play! He’s active, athletic, and full of energy. He LOVES his toys (and yes, there will be slobber!) and enjoys running and stretching his legs. His favorite volunteers are always impressed by his stamina and playful spirit. Graham has also been working hard with a wonderful volunteer trainer, alongside one of his favorite volunteers, and is making great progress. He’s learning leash manners, focus, “leave it,” and more. He’s a smart boy who just needs someone willing to continue guiding him so he can reach his full potential. Graham is truly something special. He has waited far too long, and no dog deserves to spend this much time without a home. What he needs is someone patient, committed, and willing to see the amazing dog behind those initial nerves. If you’re willing to give him a chance, Graham will give you his whole heart. Graham is doing so well with his training and continues to impress us every day. He regularly goes on outings with his favorite volunteers, tagging along to places like Home Depot and local parks, where he practices his manners and builds confidence out in the world.
Ideal Home
Graham is looking for a home with someone who is excited and committed to continuing his training and understands how much he thrives with both mental and physical stimulation. He has energy to burn and a sharp mind that loves to learn, making him a perfect match for an active adopter who’s ready for an adventure companion. A yard of his own would be a dream come true for this fun-loving guy.
Ongoing Health
Graham is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered.
