Artie is a delightful 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing around 32 pounds, who is bursting with energy and ready for her next adventure! This sweet girl is a bundle of enthusiasm, always up for a game of fetch, a romp in the yard, or zooming around the house with her favorite toys. Artie absolutely adores people and greets new friends with pure excitement and a happy wagging tail. She's incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, making her a wonderful companion for an active family.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and would do best with a family who enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space for her to run would be a huge bonus. While she doesn't necessarily need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion, especially a larger dog (50-100 lbs). Slow introductions are important when meeting new dog friends. She is currently not around cats or children, but her friendly nature suggests she could adapt well with proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, settling well in her crate at night and for short periods during the day. She can be a little on edge and protective of her toys initially, but she quickly backs off and has never escalated the behavior. Continued training will help her polish her leash manners, as she may bark or pull when seeing other dogs. She is also curious and can get into things if unsupervised, so continuing to crate her when left alone is recommended. Artie would benefit from a patient home ready to help her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.
