Ringo

Ringo is a charming and loyal fellow who has overcome significant challenges to become a healthier and happier dog. He was once quite overweight and uncomfortable due to arthritis, but thanks to dedicated care and a specialized diet, he's now thriving and ready for his forever home. Ringo enjoys being the "hall monitor" of his household, keeping an eye on things with a watchful, albeit loving, demeanor. He's eager to find a family who will appreciate his sweet nature and provide him with a loving environment.

Ideal Home

Ringo would do best in a home with another medium to large-sized dog who is either playful and energetic or calm and independent. He would also be an amazing companion for a family with children, especially if they enjoy playing ball. It's important that his activity level is kept moderate to prevent any discomfort from his arthritis. Due to his anxiety around cats, a home without any felines or small animals would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Ringo is currently on a specialized diet, Hill's Metabolic & Mobility Diet, to help him maintain a healthy weight and support his joint health. He also takes a common non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication which has greatly improved his comfort. He has undergone other therapeutic treatments to aid his joint health, and a mobility care plan has been implemented to strengthen his leg and hip muscles.

Training & Support

Ringo is house-trained and crate-trained, and he has a good grasp of basic commands. He is intelligent and capable of learning more, so continued positive reinforcement training would be beneficial.
