Mavis

Mavis, a 6-year-old, 120-pound St. Bernard, is a true gentle giant looking for her forever home. Known affectionately as Maeve or Mavey Baby, she has a low-energy personality with occasional bursts of playful zoomies. Mavis has been with her family since she was a puppy and enjoys her daily walks. She is incredibly cuddly and loves her people with all her heart.

Ideal Home

Mavis would thrive in a calm household where she can relax and offer her comforting companionship. While she has lived with dogs in the past and may be open to slow introductions with male, medium to large-sized dogs, she would do best as the only dog in the home. She is amazing with cats and children over the age of 12.

Ongoing Health

Mavis experiences some separation anxiety and is currently on medication to help manage it.

Training & Support

Mavis has shown some reactivity towards other dogs since being the sole dog in her household. With slow and proper introductions, we believe she can be successfully reintroduced to canine friends, particularly males of medium to larger size. She also loves being blow-dried and will patiently wait her turn in the bathroom when she hears the dryer turn on!
