DAKOTA

Dakota is a charming 3-year-old German Shepherd mix with a striking brown and black coat and an enchanting face that might remind you of a coyote. Weighing in at a healthy 36 lbs, she came to us as an owner surrender when her previous family could no longer care for her. Dakota can be a bit submissive and would blossom with a family dedicated to building her confidence, but beneath that she's incredibly sweet and yearns to connect with her people. She readily shows her belly as a sign of trust, walks beautifully on leash, and already knows the command "sit." Dakota is a smart, attentive girl who will thrive with positive reinforcement and gentle patience.

Ideal Home

Dakota loves to splash around, so if you have a pool or enjoy water activities, she'd be thrilled! She shows interest in other dogs and would benefit from continued socialization to help her feel more comfortable.

Ongoing Health

Dakota is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Dakota would benefit from confidence-building activities and continued socialization. She already knows "sit" and is a quick learner, eager to please her humans.
