Daffy is a 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing around 65 pounds. He's a resilient and fun-loving boy who was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, just in the nick of time! Thanks to the amazing work of Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his foster mom, Daffy is now ready to find his forever family. He absolutely adores playing with other dogs and even attends doggy daycare, where he's a star student! Daffy is a loyal, energetic, and fun companion who thrives on activity and companionship. He loves playing catch and is happiest when by his person's side.
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he'd be a better fit for a household with children over 10 years old, as he can sometimes be a bit boisterous when excited.
Ongoing Health
Daffy is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and is neutered.
Training & Support
Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, using his crate as a safe space for meals. He knows his name and comes when called. He's working on his leash manners as he tends to pull and zigzag, but he's eager to learn with guidance. When left unsupervised, Daffy may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and positive reinforcement, he'll continue to blossom!
