About Bear

Bear is a sweet and handsome boy who ended up at the shelter because his owner became ill. It's clear he was a much-loved companion! This gentle giant is about 4.5 years old and weighs over 100 pounds. He knows several commands like "sit," "come," and "heel." He's also a good leash walker and absolutely LOVES to play ball. Bear is very friendly and would make a great family dog. He gets along best with female dogs but is also happy to be the only dog in the household.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle, given his love for playing ball.

Ongoing Health

Bear is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea/heartworm prevention. He will have a health exam and be issued a certificate by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.

Training & Support

Bear knows several commands and walks well on a leash. He is noted to be a "good listener" when he feels like it!

Application Details:

  • Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
  • Adoption interviews and meet-and-greets are conducted via video call.
  • Our adoption fee is $300 plus transport costs (which vary by location). This fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, spay/neuter (for pets 6 months and older), and a heartworm test (if over 6 months old).
  • RTB reserves the right to deny any application deemed unsuitable. Adoptions are not first-come, first-served; our priority is finding the best possible home for each animal.

Transporation

Bear is currently fostered in Texas but is available for adoption and transport to approved out-of-state adopters. Transport to a predetermined location will be arranged, and the adoption contract and fee will be finalized prior to transport.
