Charnay

Hi, I'm Charnay! I'm a 10-year-old silky Australian terrier with the energy of a puppy. I love long walks and even better, playing fetch with my favorite ball! I'm so grateful to be alive, especially after being rescued from a shelter that was going to give up on me. My foster family believes I was abandoned, but now I'm living every day to the fullest!

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient family that will give me time to warm up and earn my trust. Because I can get a little grumpy if handled too much, I might do best in a home without young children. I also get along well with other dogs my size, so a home with canine companions would be great!

Ongoing Health

I used to have mammary tumors and chronic conjunctivitis that affected my vision. Thanks to Fur Love Haven, my tumors are gone and my eyes have mostly cleared up! I still have slightly limited vision and can't produce tears, so I need special medicated eye drops twice a day. This medication costs less than $100 a month, and I'm a pro at holding still for my drops!

Training & Support

I'm house-trained and know how to grab my toys on command. I'm also very treat-motivated, so I'm sure I could learn even more tricks! I'm still building confidence around strangers and can be a little shy at first, but once I'm attached, I'm all about playtime.
