Sirius looks like someone accidentally hit the "shrink" setting on a Labrador Retriever and honestly? We are obsessed with the results LOL. This boy has the soulful lab eyes, the floppy ears, the lovable puppy personality, and the happy-go-lucky charm everyone adores... just packed into a much smaller body than expected. He's the kind of puppy that instantly makes people smile because everything about him feels soft, sweet, and easy to love. Between the floppy ears that seem to have a personality of their own, the adorable sleepy expressions, and the way he happily rotates between snacks, naps, sunbathing, and playtime like it's his personal life philosophy, Sirius has this incredibly comforting little presence about him that sneaks up on your heart really fast.
Sirius is believed to be a Lab/Chihuahua mix approximately 8 months old and currently weighs 27 lbs. He definitely has the look of a little Labrador, but because of his smaller size and compact body, Chihuahua somehow ended up entering the conversation. He is definitely on the smaller side and may not get much bigger, but with rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.
Ideal Home
Sirius would thrive in a home with a backyard because he genuinely loves being outside. Continued socialization and exposure to new experiences will be important for helping him continue building confidence. He would do best with another dog that won't immediately overwhelm him or come on too strong right away, but he absolutely enjoys having dog friends to play and lounge around with.
Ongoing Health
No specific ongoing health concerns were mentioned in the listing.
Training & Support
Sirius can initially take a little time warming up to new people, dogs, and unfamiliar environments simply because he hasn't been exposed to a ton yet. He is crate trained, potty trained, and has really lovely house manners overall. Like any puppy transitioning into a new home, he may need reminders about where the appropriate potty spots are initially, but he already has an amazing foundation started.
