Meet Gina! This gorgeous 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix, weighing in at 56lbs, is looking for her forever family. Gina's journey began on the streets, found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box near a busy road. Despite her rough start, she's blossomed in her foster home and is now ready for a loving home of her own.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would do best with a family with older (10 and up) dog-savvy children, a couple, or even someone living alone. Because she can be jumpy when excited and has no idea of her size, a home with older children is recommended. We believe it would be beneficial to have another dog in the home to keep her company and help her burn off that puppy energy. Gina is enthusiastic when she sees cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy girl and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be left crated for up to 8 hours. She walks pretty well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety! She loves toys and will collect them in her bed. Gina has learned to play fetch but can also entertain herself. She prefers to eat her treats alone and is in the "puppy velociraptor stage," so she will need guidance on appropriate chew items. She will do best with slow introductions to new dogs, as she was unfortunately attacked by adult dogs in the past.
