About Hoot

Meet Hoot! This energetic and fun-loving pup was born in December 2024 and is ready to find his forever family. Hoot was found abandoned, but he's now learning what safety and love feel like, and he's eager to continue growing in a stable home. He enjoys outdoor adventures, playtime, and has a special fondness for canine companions, often choosing to sleep by his foster's bed at night. Hoot is accident-free and crate-trained, even earning free-roam privileges when his foster is away due to his good behavior.

Ideal Home

Hoot thrives with plenty of outdoor time and play. He would do best in a home with a playful doggie sibling to romp with. A patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time and consistency is key, as Hoot can be a little shy and skittish if approached too quickly. A secure fenced yard and continued leash or harness use in public will help him feel safe as he gains confidence.

Ongoing Health

Hoot is up-to-date on all vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention. He has received a fecal analysis and a health exam by a veterinarian within 10 days of his adoption.

Training & Support

Hoot walks well on a leash and is beginning basic obedience training. He is accident-free and crate-trained. While he is generally good with cats, he can be curious.
