Alder

Alder is a shy but friendly 3-year-old gentleman who came to us from Texas. He's eager to please and craves affection, and we suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time! Alder seems interested in playing with other dogs but is unsure how to engage. A home with a calmer, playful dog would be beneficial, and we believe he'll really come out of his shell once he has had a chance to decompress. Alder is a bit protective of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. He doesn't seem to mind cats, and a home with kids beyond the screeching years would likely be fine. An ideal home would have a fenced yard, but he walks well on a leash and would be acceptable in a home without one, as long as you're committed to providing him with daily walks for exercise and sniffing opportunities. Please note that Alder is not a dog that can be left to wander in a backyard unsupervised, as he likely will not stay close to home.
