I'm Nora, a 10-year-old, 33-pound Rat Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog mix looking for a loving home to spend my golden years. My past was a bit rough; I was found in a small town near Springfield, quite underweight. Thankfully, I was rescued and given a second chance, which instilled in me a deep love and loyalty for my humans. I'm a mellow girl who enjoys supervising my favorite people and napping nearby. While I'm a senior, I still get bursts of energy, especially when my humans come home or when I'm outside enjoying the grass – that's pure bliss for me! I get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, older children, and even livestock. I'm not particularly interested in toys, but if you're seeking a devoted companion who simply wants to be by your side, I'm the one for you.
Ideal Home
A patient family who understands my needs and can offer a comfy bed and lots of love. I thrive in a home where I can be close to my people.
Ongoing Health
I have some age-related joint issues and mild weakness in my back legs. My medications, joint supplements, omega-3s, and Carprofen help me feel much better. I also have a diminished sense of hearing and sometimes have accidents due to difficulty holding my bladder for long periods; I wear washable diapers professionally. I am missing some teeth and do best with wet food.
Training & Support
I am not a big toy player. My hearing isn't perfect, so you may need to clap, whistle, or speak up to get my attention. I can be a little unsteady at times but still enjoy exploring.
