Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Alma-Jo, a Foxhound/Redbone Coonhound mix born January 24, 2022. She is a sweet, affectionate, mid-energy hound who loves cuddling, exploring, climbing, playing in the yard, chasing other dogs, and enjoying her toys. Alma-Jo is food motivated and has a beautiful deep red coat.

Ideal Home

Alma-Jo enjoys playing with other dogs and requires another well-socialized dog in the home. She loves everyone, regardless of age. She has not been exposed to cats, and her breed mix may mean she has a prey drive. A fully fenced backyard with a minimum six-foot wooden fence is required.

Ongoing Health

Alma-Jo is fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, receiving flea and tick prevention, and microchipped. She is fed Royal Canin Medium Breed Adult food.

Training & Support

Alma-Jo requires further leash training. She is fed in her crate and should be crated when no one is home because she may counter surf. She dislikes sharing toys with other dogs.
