Zoey

Zoey is a beautiful American Akita with a heart of gold, though she takes a little time to warm up! She's not the type for immediate friendships or easy affection; instead, she thrives when her space is respected. While she's not food-motivated, consistent care through feeding, watering, and daily walks will surely earn you a special place in her heart. Zoey and Zeke were unfortunately abandoned by backyard breeders, and she found herself at a North Carolina kill shelter. We believe Zoey will make a wonderful, loving, and protective companion for the right person, but it's essential that her adopter has experience with the Akita breed.
