DOUGAL

Dougal is a wonderfully easy-going and laid-back Sheepadoodle who is approximately 2 years old and weighs around 75 lbs. He's a truly nice dog who gets along with all his foster siblings and is so well-behaved that his foster family often forgets he's around! Dougal prefers to stay inside in the air conditioning during the hottest parts of the day, but as the weather cools down, he loves to go outside to play with his friends, enjoy some chew treats, and chase squirrels. He appears to be well-house trained and is generally good on a leash, though he does pull and would benefit from a firm hand.

Ideal Home

Dougal needs a fully fenced and secure yard to explore and play in. We do not adopt to households with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment according to the American Heartworm Society Protocols. We typically see dogs test negative for heartworms within 4 to 6 months post-treatment.

Training & Support

Dougal is pretty well house trained but does pull on the leash and will need continued training with a strong hand.
