Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, both human and canine. Lex is a 56lb Pitbull Cattle Dog mix with beautiful cattle spotting and adorable pointed ears. She's a queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she first arrived, she greeted everyone with a wagging tail and a huge smile, immediately showering them with affection. She loves to play, and with other dogs, she plays hard! Lex has a more rough play style but is considerate of her playmates and is good at reading vibes. She played the hardest with confident females who enjoyed vigorous play. Lex would likely do great in a home with male or female dogs, though she seems to particularly enjoy the company of other ladies. Just be prepared for some all-day play sessions!
Ideal Home
Lex is a very high-energy dog who thrives on activity. She would be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard and an active owner who is familiar with the energetic nature of cattle dogs. She would likely do well with older children who can handle her enthusiastic play style. Lex is not a fan of cats and may be too rough with them.
Ongoing Health
Lex is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable. She has also been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Lex's leash skills need a bit of refinement, as she can pull a little when eager to greet new people. However, she is a smart dog who would likely train very well with consistent guidance.

Lex is located in Texas but can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. We offer drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a dedicated Facebook event page for adopters.
