Julieta is a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs about 55 lbs. Don't let her size fool you; she absolutely adores hugs and affection, and she's searching for a loving and supportive family to give her the home she never had. Julieta and her brother Romeo were rescued when they were just 6 months old, found without enough food or water. They received much-needed care and rehabilitation and are now ready to find their forever homes. Julieta is a social butterfly who enjoys playing with other dogs. She's a quick learner, has proven to be a good guardian, and is very intelligent. She walks beautifully on a leash and relishes long walks where she can explore the world with her nose. Julieta is attentive to commands and enjoys following rules, but she also loves to run, jump, and have fun outdoors. A bonus? She absolutely loves car rides, making her the perfect companion for adventures on the road!
Ideal Home
We're looking for a family with a genuine intention to rescue and provide a dog with a loving home, not just an adoption. Ideal adopters will have an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued dogs. It's important for adopters to realize that our dogs may have been traumatized and may require an adjustment period, making patience and understanding a must. She is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Julieta has received comprehensive veterinary care, including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a 4DX test and certificate, a negative heartworm test certificate, and monthly preventive treatment with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Julieta is not house-trained, so adopters should be prepared for this aspect of her care. She listens well to commands and enjoys following rules, but will also thrive with opportunities for outdoor fun.

- A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted to ensure your home is a good fit.
- A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged.
- A trial adoption period will follow, with clear instructions for integration.
- The adoption fee will be finalized prior to transport and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (DHPPI, rabies, Bordetella), deworming, one month of preventive treatment (Nexgard Spectra), and a health certificate.
Transportation
Julieta is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for a fee of $400.00, which is paid by the adopter prior to departure.
