Bella, the Girl Who Never Stopped Hoping

Bella, a beautiful 1-year-old German Shepherd, is a true survivor with a heart full of hope. She was found tied to a post at just one year old, but that didn't dim her spirit. Bella has blossomed into an affectionate, silly, and spirited girl who is now ready for a forever family. She weighs about 55lbs and is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on heartworm prevention. Bella is a wonderful blend of loving sweetheart and playful puppy energy. She walks nicely on a harness, knows "sit" and "stay," and is learning not to jump when excited. She's fully housetrained and crate-trained, viewing her crate as her personal treasure chest for treats and toys. Her absolute favorite thing is a frozen peanut butter Kong! Bella is incredibly intelligent and eager to please, thriving with exercise, playtime, and fun training games.

Ideal Home

Bella is looking for an active home with someone who loves a smart, goofy, affectionate Shepherd. She needs continued training and daily exercise. Due to her tendency to find cats "chaseable," she will need to be kept separate from them, and when bored, she may chew inappropriate items, so a home that can provide structure, toys, and plenty of activity would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Bella is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She is on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Bella is learning not to jump and may chew things she shouldn't when bored. She would benefit from continued training and structure. She has already survived abandonment and will need a little time to adjust and settle into her new family.

• The adoption fee is $395 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Transporation

Bella is an "out of town pet" and is not at this location. She is based in Houston, Texas. We arrange transport to locations near you. Dogs are moved via scheduled air-conditioned/heated vans from our rescue ranch in Fulshear, TX, by a team of two drivers. You will be included in a group chat to track your dog's journey and receive updates on arrival times. Dogs are crated during transport and stop for breaks.
