DUNCAN

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, about a year old and weighing in at a petite 19 lbs! His DNA shows him to be a delightful mix of breeds with a strong Chihuahua influence. He absolutely adores his squeaky toys, loves to play, and is a big fan of pets and attention. Duncan is a quiet and well-behaved companion who seems to be pretty house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, though a little more training would help him shine even brighter. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is ready to find his forever family.

Ideal Home

Duncan would do well in a home that can provide him with plenty of attention and play. We do not adopt to anyone with children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms when he was rescued and has since been treated following The American Heartworm Society protocols. We typically find that dogs treated this way test negative within 4 to 6 months. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza, and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is a smart boy who is generally well-behaved. He seems to be pretty house-trained and does well on a leash, but could benefit from additional training to help him master his skills.
