Dude

Dude is a five-year-old, 45-pound bundle of sweetness who was born and raised on a farm in Alabama. He was good with all the animals on the farm until one day, he got a little too excited about some new baby goats. As a herding dog, he couldn't help but chase them, and while he didn't hurt them, his owner wasn't pleased. Thankfully, his owner's daughter stepped in and reached out to rescue partners to get Dude to safety. He's a super guy who truly deserves a loving, forever home.

Ideal Home

Dude is a herding dog and may chase smaller animals, as he did with the baby goats. A home that understands his herding instincts and can provide him with an outlet for that energy would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Dude is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dude is house-trained. He's a herding dog, so understanding and redirecting his natural instincts will be key to his success in a new home.

Transportation

Dude is currently in Alabama, but we are hoping to bring him to Maine for our June transport.
