Sweet little Pepper is a 5-year-old Schnauzer with the biggest heart. She came to us from a high-intake shelter down South when they no longer had space for her. Pepper quickly went into foster with us, and her foster family had this to say: "Pepper is an amazing little girl who is so sweet and cuddly. She is fully house-trained and seems like she might have been an apartment dog in the past, as she can hold her bladder for a really long time. She hasn't had a single accident since she's been with us. She's not too keen on the doggie door, but I bet she can learn with time. She's so precious and super smart. She knows she isn't allowed in the kitchen when I am cooking, or on the couch if we are eating, and she doesn't even beg. We didn't even have to teach her; she already came with this knowledge. When we first got her, she barked at the dog next-door and people walking around on the street, but she has been responding well with positive reinforcement to redirect her reactivity. She likes being told she is a good girl. She is a little hesitant meeting people at first, but quickly warms up!"

Ongoing Health
Pepper's adoption fee includes her spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, and heartworm testing.
Training & Support
Pepper is house-trained and knows some basic commands. She has been working on redirecting reactivity towards outside stimuli and responds well to positive reinforcement.

- Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals.
- All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit.
- We encourage same-day adoptions if a match is made.
Transportation
Pepper is located at our facility. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
